Backup/Restore

Choosing the [backup] menu entry immediately creates a backup file on the SD card. Backup files are saved as HTML files (that can be imported into Internet Explorer or Firefox) to the BookmarkSB folder on the SD card.

The [restore] menu entry shows the list of available backup files. Choosing one and hitting [OK] delete the current bookmarks and replace them by the content of the file. A long press on a backup file name deletes it (after confirmation).

The default backup folder can be changed in the [Settings], and automatic backups can be enabled there.

Automatic Backup

When enabled, this feature creates backup files automatically, without having to launch the application.

    • A new file is created only if the bookmarks changed since the last automatic backup.
    • Only the three most recent automatic backup files are kept.
    • Automatic backup runs twice a day at most.

Sorting

The bookmarks can be sorted alphabetically from the menu.

To move a bookmark, select it and tap the up or down arrow.

A long press on the arrow sends the selected bookmark to the top or the bottom.

A long press on the bookmark itself shows more options: Open (starts the browser), Edit and Delete.

Tapping the bookmark favicon also opens the site in the browser.

Android 3.x/Honeycomb and later : tapping a folder icon opens the folder and pressing the "back" button returns to the parent folder.
